Mary Louise Streep is out here on these streets proving us right and we thank her for that. The star of The Devil Wears Prada 2 stopped by Good Morning America in what may be one of the best, sharpest outfits we’ve ever seen her wear.

Ironically, she’s dressed all in black, which is normally something we’d be complaining about for publicity work, but we’ve always said that Meryl should stick to basic, sharp, classic pieces and styles. Fussy is not for her. Trend-seeking would be an insulting expectation to place on her. She’s fortunate in that she looks amazing in basic pieces and dark colors. This kind of look should absolutely be her go-to style all the time. There’s no reason why she can’t drese like this for a red carpet premiere if she wanted to. We love it all, but we suspect some of you bitter kittens aren’t going to vibe with that high waist or the belt. We think she looks like the most kickass fashion editor in the world.
