After K Stewing all over the Croisette yesterday, Kristen Stewart put on her (and Chanel’s) version of a Good Girl Gown and hit the red carpet for the premiere of Full Phil.

We have multiple options for “IN or OUT” posts today, so we’re not going to formally put this one up to a vote, but it’s the perfect sort of look for it because it goes against your expectations of the wearer and it’s the kind of design that forces you to look at it and assess it. We think that much red and black can be a little harsh on certain wearers, her included (note that this is not remotely an issue for the model in the runway shot below), but we really like this. It’s far more conventional than what she normally prefers, but it’s not remotely generic. It’s interesting to look at, largely because you never see crochet on a red carpet. We don’t know if we’ve ever even seen a crochet gown. It’s impressive not only how sleek it is, but also how it lends her a bit of an edge, which is not how we’d normally think of crochet. Of course, just because this isn’t being put up to a vote doesn’t mean you can’t weigh in with your opinion on it, not that you all ever needed our encouragement to do so.
