Y’know, for a Cannes Film Festival where no major American studio has a presence, it sure isn’t lacking for star power. A whole truckload of them came out in their best finery for the Kering Women in Motion Awards, which celebrates women who move a lot.

Can you tell she’s pregnant? Should she have held up a sign? We’re being bitches, but she actually looks great. Work those thigh-high while you can, mama. That semi-sleazy, ’90s style suit might actually work for him, but not with that buzzcut. That’s a suit that calls for a guy familiar with hair product.
Charlotte Le Bon in Tod’s

Dreary as hell.
Colman Domingo in Valentino

Love the jacket. We don’t think his preference for pairing these wild pieces with plain black dress pants works all that well. It has a sort of bandleader or ringmaster effect.
Daisy Edgar-Jones in Gucci

It’s fine. She looks good in it. Rather than a choker, it might have been better to sport an obnoxious broach or pendant.
Diego Calva in Saint Laurent

Everything from the waist down is boring and everything from the waist up – including the hair – looks dumb.
Halsey in Archival Chanel

We can’t wait for the hot-weather leather trend to end. Get rid of all of the bows and this might work.
Harris Dickinson in Balenciaga

The guys are dressing like ’90s NBA players and we kind of like that.
Harry Melling in Balenciaga

Very cute. Love the hair. Not so much on the beard.
Isabelle Huppert in Balenciaga

The skirt is beautiful, but we’re starting to think that this look is a bit of a cliche. Not quite on par with the opera gloves or feather capes, but it’s getting there.
Julianne Moore in Bottega Veneta

Cheerleader on the cult compound.
Odessa A’zion in Balenciaga

We’ll tell you what: We’re not mad at the boots at all and as much as it doesn’t fall under our own preferences, we like that she paired them with the dress. It’s the jacket that just takes the whole look over into wildly affected territory.
Rami Malek in Saint Laurent

Well who can argue with that?
Ruth Negga in Saint Laurent

It’s fine. She looks striking in it and there’s just no way we can claim it’s bad, but we’ve seen it so often that it’s kind of a disappointing choice. Her makeup continues to look a bit harsh to us.
Salma Hayek in Gucci

Okay, swan lady. We may be tired of feathers, but we have to give you this one. She looks impeccable and we kind of love that one lone feather on the carpet, like she left them in her wake all night.
Sophie Thatcher in Gucci

It took us a minute, but we think the issue here is that her makeup doesn’t coordinate well with the dress. Not that she needs a matching lip or anything, but we can’t rightly say there’s a thing wrong with the dress, but the look feels off. We can’t say we love the hair either.
Stellan Skarsgård in Balenciaga

We’re not sure the pieces work perfectly together, but we love that jacket/shirt.
