It’s time we checked in on Cannes jury member Ruth Negga, who is not taking a page from her co-judge Demi Moore and unveiling one outrageous look after another. Instead, she kept things fairly clean and streamlined over the weekend, which is a relief to see after her vomiting gown and the insane peplums.

This is a fantastic dress and cape and we love her hair. The makeup is strangely harsh and while we understand that one has to wear the big honkin’ jewelry pieces at a Chopard party, we don’t think that collar works with the outfit at all.

We have to admit, while this isn’t the most interesting design in the world, the “Ruth Negga in The Matrix” vibe of the look really works for her. These ’90s supermodel styles may just be her sweet spot.
