Demi, Demi Demi! The lady has been busy. In addition to her duties as a Cannes jury member, which includes lots of premieres, she also has her duties as Demi Moore, Movie Star to fulfill, which means lots of parties. It’s a frantic life for a hard-working gal, but at least she gets a lot of gowns and diamonds out of the deal. Let’s assess. As always, the suggestion that she desperately needs a hair rethink applies to all of these looks.
IN GUCCI AT THE KERING WOMEN IN MOTION AWARDS
It’s high impact and the color looks amazing on her, but it’s very clearly too tight. She barely looks like she can move, let alone breathe. At a certain point, high-impact fashion loses that impact when the wearer is clearly struggling with it. We like that that her style has gotten so bold in recent years, but it shouldn’t look like it’s beating her up. Also, the collar’s too much and we don’t much like the winged eye.
IN BALENCIAGA AT THE FJORD PREMIERE
We’ve been railing against feathers all week, but we actually kind of like this for her because it’s about as comfortable and relaxed as a Demi Moore red carpet look is every going to get. We just wish that feathered top didn’t go all the way to the floor. The glasses are too big for her.

We also kind of don’t hate this one, although we think it’s overwrought in the way so many of her looks are. We like the jacket and the choker, but that skirt’s a mess. We realize that all eyes are on her and that she’s riding a career renaissance, but we just wish she’d calm down the style a little bit. That doesn’t mean more skin-tight column dresses. If anything, we’re asking her to give herself a break and relax the look a little.
