The cast of Hope lined up for the Cannes photo call and the looks were kinda beachy, kinda not, but overall, kinda stylish.

Kinda!

HOYEON JUNG IN LOUIS VUITTON

To be fair, it’s hard to argue that thick knitwear and heavy boots make sense for the Riviera in May, but damn if this gal doesn’t have the charisma to almost make it work.

MICHAEL FASSBENDER IN GIORGIO ARMANI

The jacket would be better in a color, because right now it’s giving “Yes, Chef.”

ALICIA VIKANDER IN LOUIS VUITTON

There’s a simple, light chicness to the dress, but that hair is turning it into religious cult wear. We LOATHE the sash.

ZO IN-SUNG

It’s not interesting and it’s totally wrong for the setting, but he looks good in it.

TAYLOR RUSSELL IN SCHIAPARELLI

We’re all about taking your moments where you can get them and we have to admit it’s a stunning look, but she looks wildly overwrought for a daytime, beachside setting.

HWANG JUNG-MIN

The suit can come off drab or breezy, depending on the shoe and shirt choices. He chose poorly in both instances.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
HOPE
Reinforcements have been diverted to battle wildfires and all communication has been cut off.
Hope’s police outpost chief Bum-seok and officer Sung-ae struggle to defend a village of the elderly, while in the mountains, Sung-ki and the locals who set out to track the beast find themselves hunted instead.
What begins as ignorance plants the seed of disaster, escalating through human conflict into a tragedy of cosmic proportions.

Directed by NA Hong-Jin
Cast: HWANG Jung-Min, ZO In-Sung, HOYEON Jung, Michael FASSBENDER, Alicia VIKANDER, Taylor RUSSELL, Cameron BRITTON
