He’s been overshadowed by Tom Cruise and (at least around these parts) Jennifer Connelly, but it’s time to recognize that Top Gun: Maverick star Jay Ellis has been quietly crushing it on the style front during the film’s promo tour.
We suspect there will be some detractors regarding his high-water hems and sockless white loafers, but we think they give the suit a summer casual feel while keeping things tightly stylish and telegenic as hell. This is the second teal suit we’ve seen today and when you compare it to Mamadou Athie’s version at the Jurassic World Dominion photo call, you get a perfect education on how styling can make or break a look. Tastes differ, but we definitely prefer Jay’s breezier, more high-fashion version.
