Once again, we must thank Cannes jury member Ruth Negga for insisting on hitting the festival red carpet in some highly discussable, occasionally offbeat looks. Because we’re throwing her back to the wolves (that’s you) for judgment for the second day in a row while we go recharge our Cannes-depleted batteries for a second. Cany blame us? Just look what she served up for the premiere of Bitter Christmas:

Much to discuss! Such as: Satin! That stunning shade of blue! Wrinkles! A butt peplum! A sheer train! Beading! Harsh makeup! Wet hair! Side boob! It’s a veritable litany of things the Bitter Kittens (and sometimes us) hate. But we have to admit, it’s striking and, like so much of her style, slightly odd and unexpected. Is this pretty? Chic? We’re not sure, because that’s your job. But it’s not generic, we’ll give it that. What will you give it?
