The stars or Rivals – plus Emily Blunt – came out for the stylish premiere of the second season in Los Angeles. Emily is there to support her sister Felicity, who is a producer of the series.

Y’know… despite our dislike of scoop necklines with suits, as well as our frustration with everyone wearing heavy cowhide pieces on the cusp of summer, we’re going to have to give this one to him. It’s genuinely stylish and he’s extremely well-suited to it. The blazer is gorgeous, although we presume his pits are making it stink to high heaven. This will be out tactic to discourage unseasonal textiles: we’re going to point out how much the wearer probably smells.

She gets a pass on the smelly test because the pieces are small and she’s well-ventilated. We don’t like the blouse tucked under the vest at all. She’d have been better with a cropped tank top. The skirt is cute, but we dislike the design of the vest and we think the shoes and bag are completely wrong for it.

That top is a lot of fun and it helps to balance out the heavy pants, which are making her legs sweaty. But she does look cute.

Plain, but kind of chic. Emily’s savvy enough to know that she could wind up pulling all the focus if she makes too much of a star turn, so we appreciate that she’s presentable and photogenic, but doesn’t stand out. We really like Felicity’s combo of beige suit and sparkly top, but we really don’t like the plunging neckline or the suggestion that it’s probably a bodysuit.

We’ll be blunt and risk angering all the Tennant-philes out there: we appreciate how adventurous he is with his suit choices, but most of them look hellaciously tacky to us. Sorry, girls.
