We watched a screener of The Fabelmans last night and we’ll have much to say about it in tomorrow’s podcast, but for now, we just want to give the film’s dad Paul Dano his spotlight time because he showed up to Late Night With Seth Meyers in the Ultimate Dad Sweater.
Since the host of a talk show tends to set the vibe, Seth Meyers’ guests – especially the male ones – tend to feel free to be a little more casual than they might choose to be for other talk shows. Paul Dano has a fairly clear love of fashion, as evidenced by his red carpet record, which doesn’t lack for interesting looks that tend to shy far away from boring business clothes. We’re saying all of this as a way of… we guess excusing the t-shirt and black jeans. But we don’t tend to feel they really need to be excused, because he paired them with some killer boots and a cardigan that practically forces you to look at it. Personally, this style of cardigan (patterned with a shawl collar) isn’t really our bag, but we appreciate the choice and can’t claim it looks bad on him.
