Sometimes in this blogging game, you’ve just gotta be upfront about why you’re posting something. This is nearly beyond critique (note that we didn’t say “above”) because any negative assessments we have (it’s awkward, it’s weird, it’s wildly uneven and maybe a little unflattering) are almost certainly the point of the design.  As with so much of her public style, the weirdness is a feature, not a bug. We don’t like it, but she obviously does, since she’s so consistent about it. In related news, if there’s a trend toward luggage straps on high fashion dresses, we may have to take a vehement stand against them.
