Saoirse Ronan has not graced our pages in some time, so we were kind of thrilled to see her back on a red carpet in high-end fashion. Until we got a load of the high-end fashion, that is. Erdem is a brand with such a strong association with pretty, girly frocks that this one came as something of a shock to us.
Did she swim to this event or something? Was there a shipwreck situation that didn’t make the news? Putting aside the fact that this may be one of the worst colors for her to wear, it looks like a once-nice gown that someone inexplicably ran through a washer cycle and then wrung it dry. That luggage strap belt looks dumb, but not as dumb as whatever those things are growing out of the bust. Saoirse, we love you, but this gown does not.
