We took a slightly different route towards putting this one up to a vote. Instead of being ambivalent about this look, which is our usual reason for submitting something to the vicious judgment of our bitter kittens, we actually disliked it pretty strongly on sight.
You know we always need to be convinced on hip or belly cutouts and there’s something about the bodice especially that makes this dress come off a little flimsy and not particularly well fitted. On the other hand, the color looks amazing on her and the ruching looks beautiful from the side view. We also really like the gold hoops. But mainly, we’re starting to feel a weensy bit kindly towards this problematic look because it’s good to see her away from the contractually obligated Chanel and in something that gives her a modern, simple sexiness that suits her better. So you tell us, do the pros outweigh the cons or vice versa? In other words…
