We don’t know which shocked us more when we first saw these shots of Princess Cathy as she visited the Aakash Odedra dance company and the Shreeji Dham Haveli temple in Leicester: the all-white outfit or the extremely un-Cathy choice of necklaces for the occasion.
But as unusual as the choices might be for her, they show that her team knows what they’re doing. The Aakash Odedra company focuses on South Asian dance and Catherine’s visit to the Temple comes the day after the Hindu spring festival of Holi. Her team knew she’d be festooned with garlands and that white would be a great way to highlight the gesture. She looks great. We wouldn’t have recommended brown pumps, but they’re not a dealbreaker or anything.
