Well, we told her to calm the hell down and she did it. Such is the awesome power of blogging, darlings. Jennifer Lopez has been out promoting her rom com Office Romance in typical J Lo style: overwrought, punishing looks that aren’t giving her the returns they once did. We’ve been urging her to dial it back for a while, not because we think she’s too old to be sexy or a diva, but because she’s making the mistake of thinking she needs to wear ever more elaborate or outrageous looks to illustrate that fact. Anyway, here she is, visiting Jimmy Kimmel in the kind of look she’d never wear on a red carpet but probably should consider:
Sure, the pants are tricky, the shoulderpads are huge, and you’ll probably only pry her platform heels off her cold, dead feet, but it still feels breezy and effortless compared to her usual fare. The colors are kind of dreary, but again, a little neutral minimalism would do her some good at the moment. Her hair looks great. Her makeup continues to make her look feverish and post-cry.
