Queen Maxima headed to Leiden for a visit to the Royal Institute for Language, Geography and Ethnology, as queens tend to do. We bet, if you’re an avid Max watcher, you can guess what color pants and shoes she’s wearing based on the picture above.
Surprise! It’s all the same egg yolk shade of yellow! Who didn’t see that coming? She’s the matchiest queen who ever queened. Putting aside our dislike of someone wearing that much yellow at once (which is admittedly difficult for us), we have to point out that the shape of that top is legitimately terrible and that lumpy neckline looks very bad. We also hate cord sashes and we don’t love belted tops, so there just isn’t much here to us to be nice about. The shoes are okay. And it’s definitely to her credit that she has real style for a queen and tries to take risks where she can, but this is just a bad outfit. And her hair should be in a pony tail for all day engagements where she’s not wearing a hat.
