Lea Michele picked up a whole bunch of acrylic trophies and you’re gonna vote on her outfit. The star of Chess came to the Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards and picked up honors for Favorite Leading Actress in a Musical, Favorite Diva Performance, and Performance of the Year (Musical). Congrats to her! Now let’s be bitches.

We’re not mad at the outfit at all. It’s slightly unusual, impeccably fitted, and photogenically flattering. Granted, the top comes off more than a little stuff, but there’s been so much in the way of chintzy or cheap-looking textiles on the red carpet lately that we don’t mind this one for coming off a little rich. We think the look fails on the styling front. Pointy black witchpumps would not have been our recommendation here. If any outfit called for a gold sandal, it would have to be this one. It also practically begs for a necklace of some sort, if not also a cocktail ring. Basically, it just needs a good zhuzh and a couple of accessories to get where it needs to go. That’s our take. What’s yours?
