Those two wacky bottle blondes are at it again. Wicked Little Letters co-stars Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley headed to Paris for the film’s premiere.

They were evidently not inspired by the location in regards to their style choices. There will be no ooh-la-la or haute couture here, we’re afraid.

Aw, we’re being harsh little bitches, we know. The reason for that is because we’re that way. Anyway, this isn’t offensively bad or anything. It’s certainly better than what she wore to the London premiere. Still, we repeat what we noted then: she and her team are usually so good at finding interesting ways to express her preferences stylishly, but this just feels a bit like she gave up.

Maybe we’re wrong. Maybe they were inspired by their Parisian surroundings, because this is also an improvement over her close-to-disastrous look in London. If nothing else, this all suits her much better. We don’t mind the outfit, but the boots look dumb with it and the Weird Barbie hair has got to go.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
– A 1920s English seaside town bears witness to a dark and absurd scandal in this riotous mystery comedy. Based on a stranger than fiction true story, WICKED LITTLE LETTERS follows two neighbours: deeply conservative local Edith Swan (Olivia Colman) and rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley). When Edith and fellow residents begin to receive wicked letters full of unintentionally hilarious profanities, foul-mouthed Rose is charged with the crime. The anonymous letters prompt a national uproar, and a trial ensues. However, as the town’s women – led by Police Officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) – begin to investigate the crime themselves, they suspect that something is amiss, and Rose may not be the culprit after all.
– Starring Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley. In cinemas February 23rd 2024.
