Congratulations on your Golden Globe win, Elizabeth Debicki! We hate your dress.
Actually, that’s not entirely accurate. We hate this dress on you. On its own, this frock has a lot going for it. That white gold is an appealing take on a metallic. We like how the paillettes form a subtle but distinct pattern. The straps are an interesting detail and the whole thing looks like it was poured onto her. HOWEVUH. She continues to choose looks that do very little for her. That color matches her skin and hair way too closely. We look at her and all we can think is how much she needs a contrasting color somewhere. We would also suggest that because she’s so tall, the heaviness of the dress is somewhat compounded. There’s just so much of it. Yes, it looks like it was poured on her, but it also looks like it weighs a hundred pounds. And finally, that limp hair is a total no, girl. Not with this kind of look. Either get yourself a blowout or wrangle an up do, because the overall impression this look gives is that you just hauled yourself out of a large body of water.
