Quinta Brunson is set to develop and star in Betty Boop film
The “Abbott Elementary” creator will play the iconic cartoon character.

Quinta Brunson is bringing Betty Boop to life.
The Abbott Elementary creator and star is developing and starring in a film about the iconic cartoon character from the 1930s, EW has confirmed. (Variety first reported the news.)
Here’s the official logline for the project: “The film will chronicle the origin and evolution of Betty Boop through the eyes of her creator, Max Fleischer, exploring the relationship of the artist to his creation while navigating the immense creative and commercial pressures that came with building one of the world’s first animated icons, especially when that icon begins to take on a life of its own.”

“A Woman Is Literally Eating My Face”: Glen Powell, Harrison Ford and Riz Ahmed on the Comedy Actors Roundtable
Joined by Owen Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Zach Braff, six comedy kingpins dig deep on delusional auditions, nagging insecurities and bizarre fan interactions.

These days, people come up to Harrison Ford and don’t want anything from him. “They don’t want a picture, they don’t want an autograph, they just want to tell me that they like the show, and then they walk away,” says the Shrinking star. At 83, he’s tickled by it. “I think it’s because I’m in their living room now, and I’m much more familiar. It’s a testament to what television does.”
The reflection comes early in a boisterous hour-plus with the sextet — Glen Powell (Chad Powers), Owen Wilson (Stick), Zach Braff (Scrubs), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Wonder Man) and Riz Ahmed (Bait) — gathered at The Georgian Hotel for THR‘s annual Comedy Actor Emmy Roundtable. Over a few Bloody Marys, the men swap stories and advice about navigating fame, fandom and their own insecurities.

Baggy jeans are fashion’s favourite denim trend for 2026
I know you’re a fashion girlie if you’re wearing these.

If you’re a creature of comfort, you’ll be thrilled to know that baggy jeans have firmly cemented themselves on our fashion radar as a wardrobe essential. Denim trends have shifted dramatically over the last few years, from skinny jeans to ripped denim and ultra-wide silhouettes, but the comeback of Y2K style has proven that relaxed, oversized jeans are the bottoms with serious staying power.

The Best Barbra Streisand Screen Performances You’ve (Probably) Never Seen
Barbra Streisand may be a singular musical talent, but “all I ever wanted to be was an actress,” she writes in her 2023 memoir My Name Is Barbra. Goal achieved: Streisand became an Oscar winner for her star-making screen debut in 1968’s Funny Girl, and she was nominated a second time for her role in 1973’s timeless weeper The Way We Were.
These movies will surely be among the Streisand classics referenced at Cannes Film Festival’s closing ceremony on May 23, when she is honored—remotely—with an honorary Palme d’Or. But there are quite a few lesser-known Streisand performances from her lesser-known films—five are spotlighted below—that, while unlikely to be singled out on the Croisette, deserve a look.

How to style mules, fashion’s favourite backless shoe
These mules were made for walkin’.

If you’ve ever wondered how to style mules, you’ve landed in the right place. They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but I’d argue it’s whoever invented the backless shoe.
There’s a reason mules will forever be my favourite shoe and admittedly, it’s not a particularly glamorous one: they don’t give you heel blisters. For anyone who has ever ended a night out barefoot, carrying their sandals home with a Compeed plaster hanging on for dear life, you’ll understand me when I say there’s something liberating about a backless shoe. They’re easy, unfussy, and comfortable from the moment you put them on, yet still somehow make every outfit feel a little more elegant.

‘Survivor’: All 48 Winners Who Outwitted, Outplayed and Outlasted Their Competition
The Hollywood Reporter has gathered together the full slate of former castaways who have won the show.

If there ever was a Mount Rushmore of the reality television greats, Survivor would be etched in stone.
One of the longest-running competitive reality programs ever, Survivor has remained a force in the TV landscape, notably deemed the most-watched Emmy nominee of last year’s awards cycle. Since debuting in 2000, the CBS series has aired 49 seasons, with each differing from the rest, and each crowning a new winner that defined every separate installment.
Many of the Survivor winners are considered pros at the game, successfully influencing the show and how it is played year and year by eager cast members vying for a shot at also being deemed a Sole Survivor.
But with 50 seasons under the show’s belt, only 48 have actually won the show. And that 48th winner was just named with the end of Survivor 50.

At 80, Cher Remains Fashion’s Greatest Risk Taker. See The 6 Style Rules She Follows
And perhaps, more importantly, the ones she does not.

Her style legacy is undeniable: you have to wonder if artists from, say, Dua Lipa to Britney Spears would have dressed as they do and did had Cher not set the precedent before them. She has long been the blueprint for what a star should wear, whether they’re performing to thousands or collecting an accolade on one of the world’s biggest stages.
Now in her 80s, Cher’s style has never been more interesting. As is the case for most of the world’s best-dressed women, she appears to have long ripped up the sartorial rule book, but a closer inspection proves otherwise. In fashion, liberation and personal style is often best cultivated with a few (albeit flexible) rules.

How to style a sundress from classic to chic for summer
It’s surprisingly easy to make the simple dresses look chic.

Sure, figuring out how to style a sundress can be as simple as just putting one on. But even the most run-of-the-mill floral summer dress can feel surprisingly fresh when it’s paired with trendy accessories. Beach bags, light jackets, classic pearls, chunky, knee-high boots – your choice of accompaniments can take things from romantic to edgy to eclectic.
My advice? Don’t fall for the anti-sundress propaganda. Although it’s a staple that comes back in style every year, there are endless ways to wear it in a way that feels elevated, style-forward, and in no way basic. The key when styling a sundress is all in the details. Ahead, six new and improved ideas for how to style a sundress — and make it feel incredibly cool in the process. After something else? Shop summer dresses with sleeves, petite dresses and floaty dresses, adored by our editors.

‘Selling Sunset’ Season 10: Everything We Know
The O Group just had a major staffing shakeup ahead of the Netflix hit’s new episodes.

Selling Sunset returned for season 9 in October 2025, and as usual, there’s never a dull moment at The Oppenheim Group. In between managing luxury real estate deals for stars like JoJo Siwa and Tinashe, the show’s central cast of agents dealt with their fair share of drama. The season began with cast member Nicole Young being dismissed from the office after feuding with co-stars Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan. But that was hardly the only feud: Mary Bonnet and Chelsea Lazkani fell out after Mary questioned how genuine Chelsea really was, and tensions flared between new agent Sandra Vergara and Chrishell after Chrishell’s assistant claimed that Sandra once keyed her car.

I Broke up With My Loofah and You Should Too—These Are My Favorite Alternatives
Gentle exfoliation and zero mold.

For years I ignored the warnings. Everyone from my assistant editors to my sister-in-law to random strangers on the Internet begged me to break up with my loofah. But I’m one of those people who adores a thick lather from my cleanser in the shower. At a hotel, when I’m forced to use only my hands to apply shower gel (the horror), I’m always left yearning for my beloved plastic poof. Where are the bubbles? How can I possibly be clean?!! Inevitably, however, the anti-loofah propaganda got to me, meaning I saw the evidence of mold and bacteria in my own shower, and I tossed the three-pack still waiting under my sink and searched for a viable alternative. And boy, did I put these tools to the test.

Stephen Colbert Gets Questioned by Famous Friends on Eve of Final ‘Late Show’ Episode
Billy Crystal, Robert De Niro, Tiffany Haddish, Aubrey Plaza and Ben Stiller, among many others, joined the host on Wednesday’s show to help him take the iconic “Colbert Questionert.”

Stephen Colbert couldn’t end The Late Show without answering some very important questions.
On Wednesday, during the second-to-last episode of the CBS late night talk show, the host finally revealed his answers to his iconic “Colbert Questionert.”
The recurring personality segment typically saw Colbert ask his guests 15 questions to help the audience fully know them. However, Colbert enlisted some of his famous friends on Wednesday to help ask the questions as he was in the hot seat this time.

How to Style Cigarette Jeans, Summer’s Trendiest Denim
The days of wide legs are numbered.

Raise your hand if you’re still hesitant to hop aboard the skinny-jeans train. (Hey, we get it!) If so, learning how to style cigarette jeans is the next best thing—and it’ll prove just how versatile the trending denim can be. After all, the slim cut hits the sweet spot between skinnies and straight-legs, falling straight from the knee to the ankle, much like, well, a cigarette. This trim style first gained popularity in the ’80s; fast-forward to the ’90s, and everyone from Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy to Princess Diana had embraced the look. Now, in 2026, a new generation of fashion girls is adopting cigarette jeans as an antidote to the overwhelming popularity of baggy, wide-leg jeans. The allure lies in their versatility—and they just might become the hardest-working jeans in your wardrobe. If your office dress code skews casual, pair the pants with a tailored blazer and leather loafers; for weekend outings, they also serve as the perfect base for a T-shirt and flip-flops.

I’ve never been the type to travel in jeans, and honestly, when I see people flying in denim, I’m genuinely impressed. But it’s also officially time for me to graduate from the matching sweat set. Have you ever been friend-bombed?
The term has exploded in popularity in dating discourse in recent years – but the pace of modern friendship has accelerated dramatically, making a culture ripe for friend bombing, too

“Love bombing” is a term that has exploded across social media, relationship podcasts and dating discourse in recent years. At first, it can feel like the kind of attention people dream about. Daily texts. Lavish compliments. Invites to events and trips. Someone who says they love you immediately, who wants to include you in their plans, show you off to their friends, and tell you their deepest secrets. Then, suddenly, something shifts. At its core, it’s a pattern of behaviour involving excessive displays of affection, validation, attention, or gifts used to quickly establish control over another person, or simply to get something from them. The tactic is commonly associated with narcissistic relationship patterns, abusive dynamics, and manipulative dating. While the phrase is most commonly used in a romantic context, love bombing can happen in friendships, too: enter “friend bombing”.

Glen Powell talks about meeting a fan who eats a photo of his face every day
A TikTok creator began posting videos of herself eating photos of the “Running Man” actor last fall.

Glen Powell has tangled with tornadoes, flown military fighter jets, and even competed in a lethal reality television show (fictionally, of course). However, his most unique encounter might just be in real life with a superfan who eats a photo of his face every day.
During an interview for The Hollywood Reporter’s comedy roundtable, which posted online Wednesday, the Running Man star revealed how he learned about a fan of his, TikTok creator @mynameismonique, who has been eating a photo of his face every day — and says she will continue to do so until she is cast in one of his films or TV shows as an extra.

This U.S. State Has the Largest Remaining Tallgrass Prairie on Earth—and It’s Also Home to Free-roaming Bison
The vast Flint Hills landscape offers roaming bison, towering grasses, and a glimpse into ancient North America.

Ten thousand years ago, after the last Ice Age melted away, blades of Indiangrass, switchgrass, and big bluestem burst forth from the nutrient-dense topsoil left behind by receding glaciers. At one point, this tallgrass prairie covered 170 million acres across North America, from Texas to southern Canada, providing a home for bison, birds, and pollinators, and storing more carbon than some forests.
These billowing grasslands, rising up to heights of 10 feet, were once the largest continuous ecosystem on the continent, with more biodiversity than any place in the world aside from the Amazon rainforest. Today, only 4 percent of this once-mighty habitat remains.
