The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences once again partnered with Chanel for their annual Women’s Luncheon to bring together women from the filmmaking community to celebrate the Academy’s programs to support emerging women filmmakers. That’s the setup. The upshot is, not only is K Stew a classic Chanel lady, she’s also officially a lady who lunches (sapphic punk edition):
We love almost everything about this. It’s got a vaguely ’90s feel to it. The jacket works really well with a plain white tee. The pants are fine. The shape works, but they look a little flimsy to us. We feel like she’s sporting the bag in an ironic way and we don’t think the sandals/hosiery situation works at all. We’ll amend our earlier statement. We love everything about the top half of this.
