How you know the SAG AFTRA strike is well and truly over: Disney released the latch on their stable of stars almost immediately. The Marvels and Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani made a surprise appearance at what was planned to be a star-free screening event. Her co-star Brie Larson is set to hit the Tonight Show set tonight, as is their fellow MCU resident, Loki star Tom Hiddleston. We are tickled pink(er) by the idea of just how much scrambling is going on with publicists, stylists, stars and studios at the moment. We can’t wait to read the oral history someone’s going to write about these next couple of weeks. We’re going to devote some time to this topic in today’s podcast. As for Ms. Vellani, we’re going to be kind. Everyone’s rusty at the moment. Besides, this isn’t bad at all:
It’s pretty cute, actually. It definitely has that rushed, put-together-quickly feel, though. For one, it feels a little too serious and formal for the event; for another, the styling doesn’t match the outfit at all. But like we said, it’s cute and we’re happily willing to cut everyone a little bit of slack at the moment. It should be entertaining watching the flood of quickly styled outfits we’re about to see.
