TÁR Star Cate Blanchett in Alexandre Vauthier Couture at TIME’s 2023 Women of the Year Gala

Posted on March 09, 2023

Good Lady Cate stopped by the Time Women of the Year event to pick up her trophy as one of they Women of the Year. At least that’s what we assume. They better get a trophy. If they just get some sort of certificate, what’s the point of getting dressed up for it? Anyway, in keeping with her Oscar campaigning tradition of rewearing past ensembles, she pulled this rather sharp ladytux out of the back of her closet:

As her stylist Elizabeth Stewart noted on Instagram, she wore this once before to a Tar screening in October:

We like it MUCH better without the turtleneck, but you probably already figured that. Stewart also noted on her Insta that Cate is wearing a reworked version of the stunning necklace she wore to the BAFTA Awards just a few weeks back. She looks relaxed, confident, and chic as hell. The blue ribbon is in support of refugees and displaced persons and this is one of the better backdrops for  it we’ve seen all season.
