PinLola Maria Restaurant – Malmö, Sweden

It’s THURSDAY, darlings. Let’s celebrate that with a grandiose LOunge in Sweden. Find a comfy spot – there appear to be several – and settle in for another day of distractions from The Horrors. Let’s see if T Lo can get their work done for the day before the construction project next door shuts our power down for several hours! Won’t that be fun?

Hocus Pocus 3 officially in development with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy on board
The Sanderson sisters will return!

The Sanderson sisters are returning to triple your trouble! Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that the long-teased Hocus Pocus 3 film is officially in development, almost three years after Disney first announced that the threequel was in the works.
Franchise stars Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker will reprise their beloved roles as the Sanderson sisters, a trio of Salem witches who can’t seem to stay away from modern times.
The news follows the major streaming success of Hocus Pocus 2 in 2022, which reunited the central stars 29 years after the release of director Kenny Ortega’s 1993 original, and broke streaming records for the Disney+ platform upon its debut.

Marilyn Monroe’s final full interview before her death revealed: ‘Most people really don’t know me’
Monroe died of a probable intentional overdose at the age of 36 on August 4, 1962. Her final interview with “Life” editor Richard Meryman was published two days prior.

More than 60 years after her death, Marilyn Monroe is redefining her legacy in her own words.
The iconic star of films like Niagara, How to Marry a Millionaire, and The Misfits died on Aug. 4, 1962, at the age of 36. Her death was eventually ruled a potential suicide by way of acute barbiturate poisoning, but questions still surround her final weeks and months.
In the lead up to her 100th birthday on June 1, Simon & Schuster imprint Weldon Owen is releasing one of the most insightful windows into that troubling stretch of time in the form of Marilyn: The Lost Photographs, The Last Interview.

How to style a white shirt for every occasion this season
Crisp, comfy and always timeless.

Quick question: Are we all trying to figure out how to style a white shirt right now? This simple wardrobe staple has always been a go-to of mine, but my penchant for white button-down shirts has been reignited recently. (Maybe it’s something to do with the Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy style mania earlier this year?) They’re some of the most versatile pieces you can own – polished with an androgynous touch, pulling together just about every outfit imaginable.

7 super chic ways to style a satin skirt for summer 2026
The multi-tasker you didn’t know you needed.

Once upon a time, we only thought about how to style a satin skirt maybe once or twice a year. The wardrobe staple sat at the bottom of our wardrobes, quietly reserved for very specific moments, like awkward Christmas parties and even more awkward date nights.
In 2026, though, the narrative has flipped. From silk midi skirts to satin maxi skirts, the piece is no longer a shiny sidekick — it’s the main event. In fact, it’s becoming the quiet MVP of the modern capsule wardrobe for the spring/summer season.

64 unforgettable ’90s movies for the perfect night in
For a hearty dose of nostalgia.

’90s movies undoubtedly give us so much nostalgia. I mean, we have watched the likes of Home Alone, Jurassic Park, The Silence of the Lambs and Matilda time and time again and have never tired of them.
Also, we will never – and we mean never – not find 10 Things I Hate About You one of the funniest rom-coms, we’ll never not cry at tear-jerker Titanic – even though we know Jack’s definitely not coming back – and who wouldn’t want Hugh Grant in Four Weddings and a Funeral on a big screen? Then there are the film titles that have become phrases in our daily vocabularies without us realising, from Sliding Doors to Groundhog Day – talk about iconic.
We also can’t help but point out the faces that made the nineties impossibly iconic, such as the Olsen twins in flicks such as It Takes Two.

‘Soft copper hair colour’ is the most searched-for hair shade right now
Here’s alllllll the inspo…

Want to trade in your current hair colour for a new season shift? If Google discover is anything to go by, “soft copper hair colour” is leading the charge after the search engine noticed a spike in visitors seeking out inspo for the soft, warm shade.
While copper hair often sees an uplift as we approach autumn, it works just as beautifully through spring and summer when the sunlight can pick up on the golden and terracotta tones. And, like the name suggests, “soft copper” is on a much gentler and more natural end of the spectrum than the hi-vis reds, burgundies and cherry-colas that thrive over autumn-winter. Instead it taps into amber, bronze cinnamon and burnt sienna shades that lean a little more rosy, golden or apricot.

Stylist Karla Welch Doesn’t Read Best-Dressed Lists Anymore
The famed celebrity stylist sets the record straight on prepping VF for the Met Gala, and explains shy she has stopped reading best dressed lists.

Karla Welch was only supposed to style two people for the 2026 Met Gala. She ended up with six: Sarah Paulson, Tessa Thompson, Olivia Wilde, Greta Gerwig, Karlie Kloss, and Misty Copeland.
Welch is the fashion equivalent to a Swiss Army knife. Known as a prolific celebrity stylist, she has done a bit of everything, be that styling Kamala Harris while she campaigned alongside Joe Biden and during the better part of her vice presidency; founding the Period Company, a period underwear brand; and starting an app, Wishi, a personal-styling service that connects users with experts for wardrobe advice and shopping recommendations. Welch is also behind some of today’s best-dressed women: Paulson, Thompson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Renate Reinsve.

‘I Switched To Men’s Fragrances For A Month And I’ve Never Had So Many Compliments’
Senior Beauty Writer Katie Withington explores the complex relationship between gender and perfume, and why stepping outside fragrance earned her more praise than ever before.

With my journalistic nose adequately piqued, I decided it was time to delve into alternative perfume spheres. With gooey marshmallow and pistachio ice cream scents pushed firmly to the wayside, I began dabbling in woody, green, aquatic, floral and clean notes. Over the course of the last few months, I’ve swerved between perfume personalities on the hunt for a fragrance that feels as chic as slipping into a pair of Miu Miu ballet flats or as effortlessly stylish as a Wales Bonner jacket.
What I didn’t expect was that, often like fashion, what earned me the most admiration from strangers was an undercover trip to the men’s fragrance aisle.

“Madonna Has Chosen You”—How One Model Became Madonna’s Met Gala Handmaiden
The week before the 2026 Met Gala, model Charlie Nishimura got a text from her agent: “Do you want to go to The Met with Madonna?” Her response: “Lol, sure, why not?”
Nishimura admits she was skeptical of the offer. “You don’t expect anything like that to happen,” she tells Vogue. “I didn’t hear anything for a couple of days. I thought it went by the wayside. And then on Friday, they were like, ‘Okay, you’re confirmed.’”
Three days later, Nishimura hit the Met Gala red carpet as one of Madonna’s seven ladies-in-waiting. With help from Saint Laurent’s Anthony Vaccarello and milliner Philip Treacy, the group paid homage to Leonora Carrington’s 1945 painting The Temptation of St. Anthony. (Nishimura wore a sheer, greenish-white dress with nude lace from the French brand.)

“You’re in Your Body. You Can Do This”—Lena Dunham on Returning to the Met Gala After 7 Years
Lena Dunham has made her return to the Met Gala red carpet—her first since 2019.
In her new memoir, Famesick, Dunham recounts her experiences at previous Met Galas. In 2017, she suffered complications from endometriosis surgery during the evening and was hospitalized; the following year, Dunham attended the gala while in the midst of a rehab program. In the book, she recalls bringing her gold Elizabeth Kennedy gown back to the treatment center, where it was patted down for contraband. Later, one of her fellow patients—a teenager she calls Gaylen—tries on the dress, swanning around the living quarters.

Mint Nail Polish Is Summer’s Chic Alternative to White
They’re calling it “millennial mint.”

Pastels for spring? Hardly groundbreaking. But one surprising shade is currently exploding all over TikTok and it’s replacing seasonal peach nails and milky white manis: millennial mint nail polish, the freshest trend for spring.
It’s no secret that Hulu’s nine-part series Love Story has sparked a ’90s fashion and beauty resurgence, from slip skirts to brown eyeliner and matte skin. Now you can match your manicure to your nostalgia too. Or perhaps our obsession with matcha has gone beyond the coffee shop to our fingertips. Fashion designer Marc Jacobs has even cosigned the trend with a crystal-clear mint manicure—that is, a glass nail with crystal appliqués—on the runway.

I’m Indian. Am I Allowed to Have a Small Wedding?
I never knew if I’d get married, but if I did, I was sure that I wanted to elope. Don’t get me wrong—I love weddings. The dancing, the hoopla, the ceremony (I always cry), the making friends with random people by a fire pit at 1 a.m., the getting to celebrate the people I love most. But all that wouldn’t feel right for me. I’m lucky to have many wonderful and very close friends, but we meet up mostly one-on-one or in small groups. I despise being the center of attention, to the extent that I haven’t even had a birthday party for over a decade.

My Mother Left Me a Garage Full of Mysterious Ingredients—and So Much More
Late in the summer of 2024, my mother was moved into hospice after a brief hospitalization. She was given a week or two to live. I promptly returned home to Los Angeles from New York and steeled myself for her passing. The trip lasted five months.
My days would begin at 5 a.m., when the Slack switchboard lit up. I worked to the sound of birds outside before the house stirred. When the lunch lull arrived on the East Coast, I’d head to the kitchen—to make my dad’s breakfast, review whatever errands or housework needed doing, and prepare a thermos of Hong Kong–style yuenyeung coffee: loose Ceylon tea, flushed with boiling water, combined with strong black coffee, then topped with evaporated milk until rich and creamy. It was the one thing she would always want.

The 9 Hottest New Pizzerias in the US
With cultural mashups, tasting menus, and more, these pizzerias show that the evolution is endless.

Pizza is all these good things: It’s hot, saucy, melty, umami, and, best of all, infinitely versatile.
Italian immigrants first brought pizza to the United States as an affordable comfort food at the turn of the 20th century. Regional styles have since proliferated across the country. Find crispy, caramelized, cheese-rimmed squares in Detroit; farm-to-table freshness in Portland, Oregon; and foldable, on-the-go convenience in New York City.

Forget The $36,000 Wedding. This Couple Paid $100 And Says It Was Everything They Wanted
As wedding costs soar, one couple found everything they needed in a $100 ceremony—no debt, no pressure, and no regrets.

The Hills got married through Mini-Mony Day, an annual event created by Detroit entrepreneur Britney Hoskins, founder of The Top Pic Collective, the largest Black-owned event space in Michigan. The idea grew out of her event planning curriculum. Hoskins runs classes for new and aspiring event planners, and rather than use models for staged portfolio shoots the way most planners do, she began inviting real couples to step into those designed spaces and actually get married in them. What her students get out of it isn’t something you can replicate in a classroom: the experience of managing a real wedding, with everything that comes with it.

Do You Really Need to Add Oil to Pasta Cooking Water?
I tested the controversial cooking method to find out if it actually prevents stickiness — or if it’s a waste of good olive oil.

Before I went to college, I went to Italy. In restaurants shadowed by Milan’s Duomo, I learned that pasta was a primi piatti — a first course, not a main. In our tiny apartment kitchen, my Italian roommate taught me pasta lessons she had gleaned from her nonna. I learned to cook my spaghetti to a perfect al dente, and started adding a glug of olive oil to the cooking water to keep the strands from sticking together. Those lessons, plus a newfound ability to gesture with my hands as quickly as I spoke, made me feel like I was living la dolce vita.

Jane Fonda Pays Heartfelt Tribute to ‘Gloriously Handsome’ Ex-Husband Ted Turner
The actress and the CNN founder were married from 1991 to 2001
Jane Fonda is mourning the death of her ex-husband Ted Turner.
The founder of CNN and Turner Broadcasting System died at age 87, Turner Enterprises confirmed on May 6. In the wake of the news, Fonda, who was married to Turner for ten years before their divorce in 2001, paid tribute to him in a statement shared to Instagram.
“He swept into my life, a gloriously handsome, deeply romantic, swashbuckling pirate and I’ve never been the same,” Fonda, 88, began in her lengthy tribute. “He needed me. No one had ever let me know they needed me, and this wasn’t your average human being that needed me, this was the creator of CNN, and Turner Classic Movies, who had won the America’s Cup as the world’s greatest sailor. He had a big life, a brilliant mind and a soaring sense of humor.”

Highway to Heaven reboot headed to TV, with late star Michael Landon’s widow producing
The NBC drama, which aired between 1984 and 1989, depicted Landon as an angel.

A reimagined Highway to Heaven is headed to TV.
Fox announced Monday that a new version of the drama, which originally aired from 1984 to 1989, will debut on Fox in the 2027–2028 season.
Costarring Michael Landon as Jonathan Smith and Victor French, Landon’s Little House on the Prairie costar, as Mark Gordon, the drama depicted Landon as an angel who had returned to Earth to help people. French was the cop who made Jonathan’s angelic acts possible.
Writer and producer Jason Katims, who’s known for his work on shows including Friday Night Lights and Parenthood, will serve as showrunner. Katims will also produce as part of a team that includes Cindy Landon, Michael’s widow, of Michael Landon Productions, and Amblin Television.

This Tiny Island Is the ‘Hawaii of the North’—and It Has Peaceful Beaches, White Sand, and Crystal-clear Water
It’s also perfect for wildlife spotting, too.

On a clear summer’s day, there might be no place in Canada more idyllic than Hornby. One of the Gulf Islands off the coast of British Columbia, it has an almost mystical quality that sets it apart from its neighbouring destinations. Nicknamed “Little Hawaii” or the “Hawaii of the North,” the island is known for its near-constant sunshine, a high percentage of local makers and artists, and white-sand beaches. And as for attracting visitors, it’s like a magnetic pull—once you’ve been, it’s nearly impossible not to return.
