Time to wrap this puppy up, wouldn’t you say? We’ve milked extensively covered the 2026 Met Gala all week long and if you’ve missed any of that coverage, that’s a very unfortunate set of affairs which you can rectify immediately by clicking here. Once you’ve complete that task, you may scroll down for the final wrap-up. Now let’s see if we can make somebody cry!
Amanda Seyfried in Prada

We listed this among our least-fave of the night for our Cosmopolitan writeup and we’re afraid we haven’t changed our minds since. She’s too interesting a dresser to default to a standard blonde-in-pink look and we really dislike the design of the skirt in combination with that stiff bodice.
Angel Reese in Altuzarra

The color does nothing for her and while we can appreciate the construction of the gown, we wouldn’t want to hit the Met Gala stairs for the first time in something that look like we fished it out from under the bed.
Angela Bassett in Prabal Gurung

Lots of pink at the start of this post, forcing us to be a little repetitive in our critiques. This shade looks awful on her and we loathe the cutesy-fussy design, which is so very not her style.
Anna Wintour in Chanel

This is gorgeous. In fact, it may be the best thing she’s ever worn to the Met Gala. We’re so tired of feather capes and feather jackets, but this one is perfect.
Audrey Nuna in Robert Wun

LOVELOVELOVE. She never fails to bring it and she always shows up in something worth looking at. The shape and print are head-turning.
Camila Mendes in Manish Malhotra

Meh. You came to the Met Gala in a dreary brown dress, girl. The design is okay, but the color is awful and it needs more of a bust. Love the headband, though.
Carey Mulligan in Prada

It’s a gorgeous and eye-catching print. It’s probably got more personality than 90% of what she’s worn in the last year. It’s a great dress, but the whole look feels too casual for the event.
Chase Sui Wonders in McQueen

It’s pretty and she clearly loves it.
Doechii in Marc Jacobs

The head piece is stunning. We tend to be a little huffy about the body-baring looks at the Met Gala, although we can admit that the design here is interesting, at least.
Doja Cat in Saint Laurent

Body bag.
Gabrielle Union in Michael Kors Collection

It’s the least interesting thing she’s worn in ages and that’s kind of sad for the Met Gala. The necklace is gorgeous, however.
Gigi Hadid in Miu Miu

As sheers go, it’s a pretty great dress, but we hate the seams and we think the panties should be black.
Hunter Schafer in Prada

A total “Hunh. How about that” dress, in the sense that it’s not exactly what we’d call pretty or even chic, but it’s a genuinely interesting design. Our only quibble is with the thing in her hair.
Irina Shayk in Alexander Wang

The watches are kind of weird. The bejeweled bra top is a lovely piece, but overall, this is one of the least interesting looks of the night. The body-serving is impressive, but it’s also kind of basic.
Jisoo in Christian Dior

Very pretty, but the print is a little muddy for a picture-taking situation.
Joey King in Miu Miu

Basic, boring, and a little cheap-looking.
Keke Palmer in Prabal Gurung

That’s a gorgeous shade of red on her. But like a lot of the looks in this rundown, it’s a nice enough look, but feels a bit… unambitious for the Met Gala.
Lena Dunham in Valentino

This is fun and she’s clearly loving it. She’s over-feathered, though. And the Rockstuds are distracting. They always are.
Lily-Rose Depp in Chanel

It’s very pretty and delicate until you get to that awful shower scrubbie. Also, the shoes clash terribly.
Louisa Jacobson in Dilara Findikoglu

We give her all the credit in the world for showing up in something a little wild, especially since most of the people in this rundown are in it for being boring, but the lack of a bottom half comes off a little comical and those delicate sandals look absurd with it.
Maya Hawke in Prada

This is lovely.
Sarah Paulson in Matières Fécales

Girl, that’s cute, but you opted to party with oligarchs. Can’t pretend you don’t see them.
Sarah Pidgeon in Loewe

It’s a boring design and a terrible color choice for her.
Stevie Nicks in Zara by John Galliano

QUEEN. Between her, Cher and Madonna showing up, it was a night for the divas. Love the gown. We wouldn’t necessarily look at it and immediately think of Stevie Nicks, put you top it off with that hat and it couldn’t be more perfect for her.
Suki Waterhouse in Michael Kors Collection

This is gorgeous and we love that color for her. The jewelry is stunning, but it doesn’t feel quite right for the gown.
Tessa Thompson in Valentino

LOVE. Stunning color and a design that feels like it’s referencing art work without being specific about it. But yeah, it needs a pendant or choker.
Tyla in Valentino

It’s giving Princess Jasmine in Vegas. Those shoes are silly.
