Given her longstanding commitment to wearing exquisitely fitted gowns with perfect proportions, we are forced to conclude that she has hit her head recently. There is no other way to explain this unflattering, disproportionate, body-distorting look. We sincerely do not understand taking a standard trench coat dress, rendering it in velvet, and then hacking off the sleeves and the hem. If this had long sleeves and a knee length hem it would work a hell of a lot better than it does here, but we still don’t think a velvet belt is a good idea with it.
