Like her co-stars Tatiana Maslany and Jameela Jamil, Renée Elise Goldsberry opted not to come to the premiere of She-Hulk in something classically elegant or demurely chic.

Girlfriend did not come quietly, is what we’re trying to say here. Of course we are duty-bound by bitchy fashion blogger law to opine that a ballgown skirt made out of cargo pants is an objectively terrible idea. We’re also not the biggest fans of public bras on red carpets and while we’re at it, we may as well just note that the… what do you call all those things hanging off her, anyway? Whatever it is, we think it’s also kind of awful. Having said all that, while this isn’t quite on the same level as Lili Reinhart’s Miu Miu, it’s a similar instance of an ensemble with a bunch of terrible elements looking better than it should. We tend to think this is very wearer-specific and requires a firm hand in the styling department. Her hair, makeup and jewelry are all spectacular. Are they enough to overcome those weird design choices? Do they not even matter when she looks so good from the neck up? Or do you think our quibbles are without merit and she looks great, head to toe? In other words…
