And now, a pretty man in a nice suit. Sometimes we like to keep things simple around here. Emmy nominee (for his amazing turn in The White Lotus) Murray Bartlett stopped by the Tonight Show while Emmy voting is under way. These two facts are not unrelated.

We spent some time yesterday yelling at male stars showing up on red carpets in blue suits, but that was because they were in standard business navy blue, which makes the wearer pretty much indistinguishable from your average corporate lawyer or financial advisor. We expect our stars to look like the artists and performers they are and we’ve never understood why some celebrity men seem to want to look like their business managers in public. Our point here: we don’t hate blue suits. As long as they’re interesting and can’t be confused with basic office wear, we’re fine with them. We might’ve liked a different shirt, but overall, this is a great look for him. We just think he should lose the beard. He’s got a jawline that deserves to see the light of day.
