The Duchess of Cambridge hosted a carol service at Westminster Abbey titled “Together at Christmas,” which will be broadcast on Christmas Eve. It is perhaps no surprise that she showed up in a Christmas red, just as it’s not a surprise that she matches head to toe or that Prince William’s tie is coordinated with her outfit. All of this is the Cambridge Way and has been for quite some time. What’s of true importance here, what matters most of all, is family and togetherness at this time of ye– No, wait. Sorry. What matters most here is that the royal coatdress has returned:

Huzzah, we say. Feels like it’s 2015 or something. We thought she’d given her one-time signature item up completely, but she must have been feeling the need to look as Duchessy, if not as Cambridgey as possible for this event. Given the dead-perfect match of those shoes, we’re surprised she didn’t coordinate her mask to her outfit.
