Darlings, we gave Miss Margot the spotlight her look deserved, but it’s time to judge the rest of the cast and various other members of Hollywood royalty as they all came out to soak up some of that retro-L.A. goodness. The looks? Ranging from dull-as-dishwater to painfully tragic, as one would expect.
Brad Pitt
The 55-year-old Mr. Pitt has a shirtless scene in this film that will take your breath away, if you have any sort of appreciation for well-built maleness. We silently applauded the moment. It makes this moment all the harder to take. Not that we would expect him to show up shirtless, but this man has the most epic case of Hiding the Hot the red carpet has ever seen. What a bland look. How poorly put-together and presented. Tsk.
Britney Spears in Nookie
Welp. This all appears to be in order. It’s not stylish, it’s not fresh, but it’s very much on-brand for her.
Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth
They’re both keeping it low-key and we can’t say we hate either outfit (although the color of her dress is pretty unphotogenic), but they look like they’re at different events.
Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara (in Dolce&Gabbana)
These two, on the other hand, never fail to coordinate appropriately. He’s a little sloppy. Given the sheer number of grommets on that thing, we’re a bit surprised that we don’t hate her dress.
Leonardo DiCaprio in Giorgio Armani
No surprises here. It’s WAY too “executive” for a film star, but at least it’s impeccable, unlike Mr. Pitt’s sad effort.
Margaret Qualley in Prada
Sweetie, no. We can say with some assurance that you will be disavowing this choice in decades to come.
Maya Hawke in Olivier Theyskens
Ouch. It’s all rather sharp, but the fit looks painful.
Timothy Olyphant
Great hair will forgive a lot of sins, but for Jesus’s sake, do your ties up, gentlemen. It’s not hard. You’re not at Friday Happy Hour.
Vanessa Hudgens in Giorgio Armani
We have to admit, we feel a little sheepish about the fact that we didn’t see the Cher Style revival coming. Get mad at Kim Kardashian for whatever you choose, but the lady helped put this sort of style back on the map and now, it’s being interpreted in chic and modern ways. She looks great here.
