From Date-Night Duchess to Work-a-Day Duchess, we’re serving the full (extremely limited) gamut of Duchess fashion this morning.

It’s tweedy. It’s sassy. It’s vaguely business-like. It’s Chanel. This pretty much checks off all the Duchess’s style boxes. We joke about an outfit like this “getting the job done” for her, which it does, but it’s still a Chanel suit at the end of the day. What looks work-a-day on her would look pretty damn fancy on anyone else.

Still, we can’t help thinking the proportions are a little off. The skirt seems to sit kind of low on her and the shape of the jacket looks odd down near the hips. We suspect the skirt is meant to be hiked considerably higher so the flare of the skirt continues the flare of the jacket design. She must’ve thought the skirt was too short worn that way and opted for this slightly elongated silhouette.

EDITED TO ADD: It turns out it’s Dolce & Gabbana and not Chanel, which doesn’t change much although we’re surprised to see the Duchess wearing a brand that just weathered a PR disaster about its own racism.
