Lady, we love you and you are looking as fabulous and queenly as ever here, but it behooves us to tell you that your gown is letting you down.
Talk about an unresolved design. It’s a high-waisted skirt with a cape tacked onto it instead of an actual bodice. And the frustrating part is that if this was a more conventional sleek gown with a structured bodice and bust, and a capelet as a separate piece, we think she’d look amazing in it. But this design is not only half-assed, it looks cheap and a little unflattering. Kudos to the hair and makeup team for stepping things up in order to take the focus away from that weird dress, but it looks a little overdone in tandem with it.
