Miss Halle threw us a style curveball and now we’re throwing it over to you guys. Bat this one around for a while:
That is… a whole lot.
Part of the reason we’re inclined to open this up to a vote is because it seems like a bit of an unexpected turn from her and parts of it aren’t entirely unappealing. Faint praise, yes. We really like the dress, busy as it is. The effect of the black beading on one side forces you to stop and take it in. We just don’t get why she felt the need to tie a scarf around her neck, since the design doesn’t really call for it. In combination with the bun, it gives everything up top a bit of a throwback feel. We don’t know. It just looks unbalanced to us, but we like that it’s not her usual low-key style. It’s just that the dress is interesting enough that we think minimalist styling and falling back on pretty would’ve been the better way to go here. Agree? Disagree?
