The Duchess kicks off the new year by strapping on her heels and getting back to work. Kensington Palace announced the Duchess of Sussex’s Royal Patronages this morning and within hours, she showed up at one of them, ready to dive in. Smart Works is “a UK charity that provides high quality interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women in need. We harness the power of clothes and confidence to allow a woman to be her best at a crucial moment in her life, giving her the confidence, the self-belief and the practical tools required to succeed at interview and transform her life.”
She’s holding tight onto those minimalist neutrals, but at least she snagged a sassy pump for the occasion. Can’t say we love the plastic parts, though. Along with Smart Works, the Palace has announced official roles for Meghan with the National Theatre, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Smart Works, and Mayhew, an animal welfare organization. Looks like she’s got a busy year ahead of her. Make sure that prince of yours gives you nightly footrubs, girl. Otherwise, what good is a damn prince?
