Let’s Guess What Shoes Cathy Cambridge Picked For All Her Royal Zoom Duties

Darlings, International Blogger Law dictates that if we do a post about Duchess Meghan, we must follow it up with a post about Duchess Kate within ten business days or we lose our International Blogger License. We don’t make the rules, you guys. We’re just out here trying to keep the Blog Police off our backs.

Anyway, as we keep saying, we’ll take our celebrity fashion any way we can get it these days, and while her recent teleconference-based duties don’t quite offer the full fashion picture, she’s still making notable and telegenic choices in the Cathy Cambridge day dress mode. Personally, we’d love to see her do one of these in a track suit and a tiara, but alas, that’s not the Cathy way. Diana would have.

First up, a fashion two-fer as the Duchess undertakes her duties as National Cheerleader and Mistress of Cheerful Small Talk in two versions of her favorite color:

Now, let’s play Guess the Shoe. Knowing her very limited preferences, we suggest that the Duchess paired both the sweater and the dress with a … navy blue suede pump! It’s her favorite thing in the world aside from her children. Or she would have worn them, if she’d been performing these duties out in the world, in front of photographers. Of course the likelihood is that she’s in something a bit more comfortable, possibly even bunny slippers. Even so, if we’re being fashiony about it, we’d have told her to pair a white pump with the sweater and a bright yellow one with the dress, but she never listens to us.

Yellow isn’t really one of her top go-to colors, but she’ll break it out every once in a while, as a recent two-part retrospective of her daywear has shown. The print strikes us as a slightly difficult one to pull off, although she doesn’t appear to have any problem doing so in less-than-optimal lighting conditions. She would almost certainly pair this with a neutral pump, but we’d push her toward a blush pink one if we were standing in front of her shoe closet and haranguing her like the good gays we are.
