Joel Egerton and Jennifer Connelly posed in slightly weird outfits for the premiere of their new sci-fi AppleTV+ show. This seems appropriate.

Although they do tend to look like they’re attending entirely different events.

Then again, Jennifer Connelly loves to show up at a gathering looking completely out of place, so this is par for the course with her. If anything, this is restrained compared to her usual fare. The jacket is great, although it doesn’t quite look dressy enough for a red carpet. The garment bag skirt is a joke of a design and looks horrendous. The boots work well with the look but they can’t make up for that awful skirt.

This is working better than it should. It’s a really nice suit, although it’s a bit stuffily formal for the kind of styling he’s trying to pull off. Stylists can be so silly about their little trends. While we’re tired of the ribbed tank top trend in male red carpetry, we can admit that certain styles of suit work really well with the look. This one doesn’t. Also, the shoes are terrible. Still, nice suit!
