Style File: Katherine LaNasa Promotes THE PITT in New York

We think it’s kind of strange that a show as popular and critically acclaimed as The Pitt doesn’t push its stars — most of whom are young, good-looking, and not that well-known — out in front of the press at every opportunity. Then again, the relatively low-key promotional tactics don’t seem to have hindered the show’s success in any way. Still, we were glad to see The Pitt star Katherine LaNasa making the rounds this week, partially because she’s one of the show’s Emmy winners and deserves the spotlight, but mostly because we like how she dresses for promo work.

We haven’t completely reversed our take on lace dresses, which is that they need to go away for a while, but we like this one for being in a rich color that suits her very well — and for being lined, of course. The pumps add a little pop of glamour that keeps the dress from coming off too mumsy. The only change we’d suggest is a black leather belt instead of that matching one. It’s a perfect day look for promotional work.

And this is pretty much a perfect look for a late night talk show. It’s got a slightly elevated formality to it, she’s clearly comfortable and confident sitting in it, and there’s a lot of visual interest up around the face. She looks great and she clearly knows what she’s doing. Love that she’s getting her money’s worth out of those pumps.
