She’s settled out of court and now Blake Lively is ready to do a little image cleanup. After a year-long knockdown, drag-out fight with her It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni, which got so big and nasty that it threatened to permanently derail both of their careers (jury’s still out on that one), she headed to the Met Gala looking like a pile of sherbet-colored laundry.

The Judith Lieber bag is a custom piece based on her children’s artwork, in case you didn’t think this was about image cleanup. Anyway, we hate this dress, but it’s very much of a piece with her whole style approach: it’s big and loud and simplistic. Maybe this isn’t fair to her, because we’ve let plenty go by without comment, but after a while, the whole “massive train on the Met Gala steps” becomes something of a cliche. No one’s ever going to out do Rihanna’s Guo Pei moment at the 2015 gala and we wish everyone would just stop trying. We also tend to hate these “pile of laundry” style of trains, and we’re not particularly fond of pastels, so you can see why we might want to turn the final call over to you guys. Oh, and the beading. Hate that too. Convince us we’re wrong or tell us we’re right once again:
