Princess Cathy ditched her work clothes and got herself into a gown (which is just another form of work clothes, really) for the Royal Variety Performance. She kept things exceedingly simple for the occasion.
The gown is lovely, if a bit on the plain side. All of the interest comes in the color and with the jewelry choices, which are gorgeous, and which all came from the vault. When you’re quite literally dripping with diamonds, you really don’t need to wear an interesting dress, just one that provides a backdrop for the jewels. In semi-related news, the pageant ringlets are once again threatening to overwhelm her head.
