And now, for a change of pace, here’s Kacey Musgraves working the most precious little retro-twee frock you ever did see on Colbert.

Believe it or not, we almost love it for her, even though we tend to loathe precious retro-twee anything. The thing is, the style is not only perfectly suited to her, it’s clearly her main preference for dressing herself. The color looks great on her and we don’t even mind the bow. The longer version looks better than the way it’s tied in the look book. But it’s probably a little too short on her for a sit-down interview and that ruffled hem ruins the whole thing.
