Alegal Restaurant – Valencia, Spain
It’s THURSDAY, darlings. Let’s hunker down in a fabulous Spanish bunker and wait for the week to pass by completely, yes? Let’s be anti-social together, like a dysfunctional family. We have a ton of things to show you today, so we promise you won’t be bored. Order what you like. The tab is taken care of.
‘Euphoria’ Star Colman Domingo Is Suddenly Everywhere. (It’s About Time.)
From ‘Michael’ to ‘Disclosure Day’ to ‘The Four Seasons,’ the consummate character actor is getting all the attention — and setting the terms of his newfound stardom. And he’s pretty sure Chadwick Boseman is helping him “from the other side.”
When asked whether he would have welcomed success earlier, he laughs, “I think my finances would have wanted it, yeah.” And then he earnestly offers: “Maybe I’m saying this now because of the way things have been mapped out, but I feel like I wouldn’t change a thing. I really wouldn’t.”
Whether or not recognition came at the right moment, one thing is certain: Now that it is here, Domingo is having a damn good time.
He moves effortlessly between drama and comedy, blockbuster and indie, prestige and populist. One weekend, audiences can watch him running through a cadre of memorable eccentrics on Saturday Night Live, and the next sitting opposite Zendaya dispensing wisdom in Euphoria, and the next as a snarling Joe Jackson in Michael. In between, he pops up in unexpected places, like a Sabrina Carpenter music video or as the voice of the Cowardly Lion in Wicked: For Good.
‘I’m Tough, But I’m Not That Tough. It’s A Mask’: How Doja Cat Is Learning To Be More Vulnerable
Catching her breath between dates on her astronomical album tour, the pop-rap superstar gets real with Kacion Mayers about her toxic traits, secret talents and the private universe inside her head.
Doja Cat builds worlds. Grounded and ethereal at once,
disparate in ways, yet threaded through with recurring obsessions. When I raise pop culture’s habit of parcelling artists into eras, she turns it over with genuine curiosity, uncertain of her own answer. ‘Artists who use mediums like paint and sculpture – when they repeat a pattern or an image but in a different colour – I think that’s an interesting way to think about the different ways musicians express themselves.’ She is not, to be clear, interested in repeating herself: ‘I move off of emotion and I try to turn that emotion into a story.’ For Doja, an era is less an aesthetic exercise and more a record of someone in the ongoing process of becoming.
Dream Holiday Hair Requires an Excellent Anti-Frizz Product—These Fight Against Soft Water, Humidity and More
Summer can mean more humidity; but fear not, as these deliver
Summertime has myriad reasons to rejoice: the sun’s out, BBQs are back, and you can finally get your toes out and into those cute sandals you bought during last year’s sale season. But if your hair always seems to go haywire the moment you land somewhere hot, there are actually a number of specific reasons for it.
Travelling to warmer climes for holiday season can often mean pool and sea water aplenty (i.e. chlorine and salt), elevated temperatures and harmful UV rays, and increased humidity. And guess what? None of these tend to be a friend to hair. In fact, they can cause dryness and frizz in abundance.
Need More ‘Running Point?’ You’re in Luck Because the Netflix Comedy Already Has Big Season 3 Plans
In February 2025, Netflix debuted Running Point, a must-watch comedy inspired by the biggest women-run dynasty in sports. Created by Mindy Kaling and inspired by Jeanie Buss, the series stars Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon, the president of the fictional L.A. Waves basketball team. After spending season 1 thriving in the new gig, season 2 tested the party-girl-turned-executive, as Isla’s older brother Cam (Justin Theroux) leaves rehab early to reclaim the top spot in the franchise.
By the end of Running Point season 2, which arrived on Netflix on April 23, Isla achieves her biggest success…and faces her biggest threat so far. Read on for everything to know about Running Point season 3 so far, including what’s in store for Isla and the Waves next.
As Designer Bags Become Increasingly Expensive, Tribes of Cool Women Are Carrying Specific-Yet-Simple Canvas Tote Bags Instead
How the everyday store tote became the latest it accessory
Louis Vuitton, Prada and perhaps even Goyard were once the tote bags you couldn’t walk down a high street without seeing—authentic or otherwise. But the luxury labels have a new rival to contend with, and the competition is fierce. Enter the rise of the everyday store tote. Though not, it should be said, your Asda bags for life.
Take the Trader Joe’s bag, which just ranked as the eighth hottest product of the first quarter of 2026 on the Lyst Index. The American supermarket’s $2.99 shopper reselling for four times the price on eBay over here. Or the Daunt Books tote, spotted on Emily Ratajkowski and Elizabeth Olsen. Or the Jimmy Fairly shopper, gracing the shoulders of many a chic woman who, coincidentally, also loves a statement sunglass.
Raye enters her acting era with a new role in a crime drama
Baby, where the hell is my Emmy?
The film industry has a new RAYE of light shining on it. It’s been a busy time for pop stars crossing into film lately, just look at Mother Mary or the very celebrity-packed The Devil Wears Prada 2. Fresh off her acclaimed second album, This Music May Contain Hope, Raye is joining the growing list of musicians-turned-actors, following in the footsteps of Lady Gaga and Harry Styles.
Yep, she’s swapping looking for her husband for looking for an Emmy, it seems.
Raye previously appeared in an episode of Netflix’s Black Rabbit, but as she played herself, we’re not quite counting that as her official acting debut. The upcoming crime thriller Lineage will mark the singer’s first scripted dramatic role — and a major step into a new creative era.
How to wear the sailor trend this summer, according to a fashion writer
Shipping forecast: Maritime fashion is making a splash.
The sailor trend has drifted back into fashion’s orbit just as our collective mood shifts towards wanting a little more la dolce vita. As I write this, hail is battering my window. So, while Costa del London offers very little hope of me ending up on a tropical island with salty hair, wearing a bikini and a crochet dress anytime soon, embracing the nautical trend does feel like one small step closer to boarding a yacht.
Should We Be Talking About Celebrities’ Bodies?
Everyone is too thin, or too jacked. There’s looksmaxxers and their peptides, crazy diets, and Ozempic pills. What now?
It’s strict over at Cannes! The film festival is known for its famous dress code: black-tie only for red-carpet gala screenings, meaning evening gowns for women and tuxedos for men. Last year, the conversation was all about how Cannes introduced bans on both “naked dresses,” which we can probably thank Bella Hadid for after she wore a suggestion of a sheath by Saint Laurent on the red carpet back in 2024, and overly voluminous gowns for simple logistics: There are a lot of steps! This year, the ban on naked dresses and too-big frocks remains, and attendees are now asked to wear “elegant shoes” rather than heels.
Yet dress codes are not the topic du jour. The talk surrounding red carpets this year is a far thornier one: the state of celebrity bodies. Namely, everyone’s too thin. This isn’t news—the big, ongoing GLP-1 wave hit Hollywood early—but, if at first the chatter was about who was taking “the stab” and who wasn’t, nowadays it’s about the size of everyone’s waist and how visible their sternums are, Ozempic or not.
How to wear a denim waistcoat for a cowboy-core summer
Pop it, lock it, polka dot it
It was only a matter of time before we were going to be searching ‘how to wear a denim waistcoat’. Western references have been circling the fashion industry for the past few seasons – from cowboy boots and bolo ties to raw denim, suede jackets and chambray shirts – but the denim waistcoat might just be the easiest entry point into the trend.
The waistcoat itself has always occupied an interesting space in fashion. Originally rooted in menswear tailoring – designed to sit beneath a jacket and add structure to the male silhouette – it’s since been continuously reworked in womenswear over the past few decades, from sharp three-piece suiting in the 70s to bohemian festival dressing in the early 2000s. But the current denim iteration feels different.
Gillian Anderson: “Fashion? I’ve Only Recently Begun To Figure It Out”
Anderson was still living on unemployment cheques when she first shot to fame on The X-Files in the ’90s. “The thought of spending money on a stylist was just… I couldn’t imagine it,” she says. Instead, her agents would pull in favours from designers, with Anderson trying looks on in her bedroom and emailing over pictures in search of a kind of group consensus. “I didn’t think about fashion at all,” she adds. “I didn’t think about fashion enough.” Which is interesting, given how romanticised the pre-celebrity-stylist era has become – the belief being that a self-styled look, however questionable, offered a more faithful portrait of a person. “I don’t know if what I chose to wear represented who I was,” Anderson says. “In fact, what it represented was somebody who didn’t know themselves. It’s only by working with somebody that I thought, ‘Hang on a second, I’ve got to take this seriously’.” Three decades in, Anderson says she has only recently begun to “figure it out”, that like her filmmaking, what she wears should also be in service of some sort of inner truth.
‘Mochi Pink’ Is The Quiet Luxury Nail Colour Trending For Summer: 9 Manicure Ideas To Try Now
So pretty, yet so chic…
Pink nails are a perennial classic. It’s been around for decades, and is a shade beloved by royal families, celebrities and your next door neighbour alike thanks to its versatility and ability to instantly make the hands appear pulled together and grown-up (especially subtle, pale rose tones which closely mimic the natural nails).
This summer, the romantic hue gets a summery twist with ‘mochi pink’, a creamier take on the tone that feels whimsical and cheerful, yet still sophisticated enough for the modern minimalist. Inspired by the Japanese glutinous rice dessert, it is slightly more vibrant than a ballet slipper tone, which creates a freshness that feels right for the warmer months.

Sequined, Beaded, Netted—Why the Embellished Handbags Is a Summer Must-Have
Raffia and canvas aren’t the only handbag textures worth noting this summer. While forever timeless, we’re turning our attention to more festive embellished iterations instead—because who doesn’t love a dose of everyday sparkle? Sequined, beaded, and even netted, embellished handbags are a dazzling addition to any warm-weather outfit—no matter how your personal style may lean.
First spotted on the spring 2026 runways at Dries Van Noten, Loewe, and Marni, the trend has firmly crossed over into street style, with fashion favorite Jennifer Lawrence among its earliest and most enthusiastic adopters. Earlier this spring, she stepped out carrying Barcelona-based label Gimaguas’s see-through metal-woven shoulder bag alongside her signature roster of stylish staples.
The Tiki Bar Renaissance Has Arrived
“This is your captain speaking,” a voice says over the loudspeaker. “We’re casting off for our cruise around the island of San Baltazar. In the unlikely event of an emergency, please secure your own cocktails before helping others.” The sound of waves whoosh behind my head, and a frenzy of bubbles cascades around a wood-paneled room festooned with taxidermy fish and flickering lanterns. This is Sunken Harbor Club, and I am in heaven. I am also in a tropical bar in Downtown Brooklyn. This nautical bolthole is hidden above a 19th-century chophouse and has quickly become one of my favorite places to get a drink. But these aren’t just any old drinks, of course, they’re tiki cocktails—and the genre is in the midst of a new golden era.

The Complete History of the Babydoll Dress, a Much-Needed Fashion Lesson
Despite what the internet discourse around Olivia Rodrigo might have you believe, the style started as sleepwear for adult women.
If you’ve been off the internet the past few days, congratulations! You are free of yet another deeply stupid discourse cycle about women’s fashion. If you have been scrolling into oblivion, you have probably thumbed past the controversy surrounding Olivia Rodrigo’s latest look. As the singer begins her press tour for her EP You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love, she’s continued with the charmingly twee fashion sense she’s known for—winged eyeliner and short hemlines included. This time, however, she’s embracing a vaguely ’60s-inspired aesthetic to go along with her new sound.
In the music video for her single “Drop Dead,” she parades through the mirrored halls of Versailles while singing in a ruffly blue Chloé nightie that channels the mid-century glamour of Valley of the Dolls. For the album cover, she wears a Peter Pan–collared dress in pop-star pink. She even chose another babydoll dress (this time in a retro floral with matching bloomers) to perform in Barcelona on May 8. This last look, apparently, was what put people over the edge.

Untold Tales of ‘Survivor’: Players and Producers Dish on Season 50, Editing Controversies, Brutal Betrayals and the Real Lion That Could’ve Killed the Show
“Survivor” premiered on May 31, 2000 with a cast of 16 ordinary people, but they could only maintain standard societal decorum for so long as they systematically crushed each other’s dreams in a fight for a $1 million prize. Nearly two months later, 52 million viewers were rapt as ousted contestant Sue Hawk called finalists Richard Hatch a snake and Kelly Wiglesworth a rat right to their faces, asking her fellow jurors to “let it end in the way that Mother Nature intended: for the snake to eat the rat.” The snake took home the million, and television was changed forever.
So was American culture at large. As Probst-isms like “The tribe has spoken” became embedded in the lexicon, “Survivor” drove new conversations around what trust and loyalty looked like in everyday life. Hollywood bit its nails, anxious that scripted programming could become obsolete, and puritans clutched their pearls, fearing that society would collapse because of televised bug-eating and nudity.
Is Homemade Oat Milk Worth the Effort? Here’s How It Compares to Store-Bought
Homemade oat milk has a creamier, richer texture—but is it for everyone?
Spending time to make everyday essentials from scratch isn’t always worth the effort, especially when store-bought versions can be just as healthy and affordable. However, that isn’t true for every fridge or pantry staple we reach for. As the popularity of dairy alternatives continues to rise, so does ingredient transparency. For options like oat milk, the ingredient list is slim—so why not make it at home?
We spoke with recipe developer Yasmeen Ali to find out whether making oat milk at home is worth the time and effort, or if picking it up at the grocery store makes more sense for this daily essential. If you’re just getting into dairy-free milk alternatives and thinking about starting from scratch, Ali also shares how she makes her own oat milk, and why she believes it’s worth the extra effort, despite the inevitable drawbacks.
This Quaint New England Town Offers the Charm of Cape Cod—Without the Price Tag or the Crowds
Freshly shucked oysters, quaint farm stands, and waterfront views await in Westport, Massachusetts.
When Westport, Massachusetts, was named one of America’s top “bougie on a budget” destinations by MarketBeat in 2025, it came as no surprise to locals like Molly Armando, a real estate agent who grew up in the area. “It is a truly special place, offering a slower pace, incredible natural beauty, and a lifestyle that celebrates both the land and the sea,” she tells Travel + Leisure.
Westport is in the heart of the Farm Coast, a term that captures the bucolic character of the rural coastline between Little Compton, Rhode Island, and Dartmouth, Massachusetts. An hour’s drive south of Boston and only 30 minutes southeast of Providence, Rhode Island, the town embodies the most beloved aspects of New England, minus the crowds and steep price tags.
