We had to give the spotlight treatment to fellow attendees Viola Davis (because she’s fabulous) and Rachel Zegler (because we think we hate her dress), but make no mistake, plenty of other looks were served on the red carpet the LA premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Let’s judge them! Harshly, even!

That’s way more beaded fringe than we’d like to see on a red carpet, but the whole look is giving classic Bob Mackie Cher and we can’t be mad at it for that reason alone. She’s well suited to it. We like that we keep seeing pewter on the red carpet lately. If it’s trending upward, we hope it brings bronze along for the ride.

It’s fine. Unobjectionable. The colors are kind of nice. A little bit of neck grooming would go a long way.

We’re also seeing a lot of white suits lately. We can go either way on that trend. It’s user specific. For instance, he looks very cute in this, although it’s giving a little bit of First Holy Communion. Still, the textile’s nice. We would have preferred a more standard hem length and a pair of socks with dress shoes.

Not only one of the prettiest things we’ve seen her wear, but one of the prettiest Rodarte designs we’ve ever seen.

He’s here. Everything looks to be of high quality. That’s about it. As a look, it almost seems designed to avoid attention. Also: that hair is not working.

Male stars should remove clothing items on the red carpet a little more often, don’t you think? Give us a little striptease, love. As far as the outfit goes, he’s got that Jacob Elordi/Austin Butler knack for making the sleazy look chic. The suit is great, but we might have liked it without the flare in the pants.
