We gave Baby2Baby Gala attendees Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Kim Kardashian the spotlight treatment but the red carpet for the evening was full of surprisingly restrained, classic looks. That’s not to say we are without our quibbles, kittens. Heavens, no. Walk with us.

This might be one of the more demure looks we’ve seen her wear on a red carpet. It’s not reinventing any wheels, but it’s pretty and she looks fantastic.

As a design, it’s not very fresh, but it looks good on her. The opera gloves need to stop around the elbow, though. Better yet, get rid of them.

Why Miss Heidi. Here’s you, looking all tasteful. Fluffy, but tasteful.

Jenna Dewan in Monique Lhuillier

Do not like that window valance at all. It’s too big, but the real issue is that the color is kind of bad.

Jessica Alba in Tamara Ralph Couture

It looks a little bit like wrapping paper, but we’re not such bitches as to suggest it’s a dealbreaker. She looks great.

Julie Bowen in Marmar Halim

A lot of the dresses here are classics with some sort of twist to them. While the color looks great on her, the design could’ve used a twist or two.

The dress has some interesting details and it looks great on her, but we don’t agree with most of the styling choices. The wet hair looks weird with it, the neckline calls for a pendant rather than a choker, and the last thing this dress needs is a bag that matches it.

Lucy Hale in Monique Lhuillier

A perfectly fine gown in a color that pops. It just needs some jewelry.

Olivia Wilde in Balmain

The dress has more of a springtime feel to it, although that may just be our personal opinion about polka dots. We don’t love giant fabric flowers on dresses, but this one is camouflaged well. She looks great.

A relatively simple design in a gorgeous color. We can’t say we love the knot.

Sarah Hyland in Monique Lhuillier

The textile is cute, but the shape is a little too twee for us.

Zoe Saldana in Balmain

If that skirt had a regular hem, or if the hem were a few inches lower, we’d love this. Needs pumps, though.

Retro twee in that way that’s become her calling card, but those shoes are a bit much and the strap situation makes it look like she’s backpacking.
