We were thinking of torturing you by making you vote on this Balenciaga look worn by Kim Kardashian at the Baby2Baby Gala, but we suspect subjecting this one to an “IN or OUT?” post would yield fairly predictable results. After all, it’s Kim Kardashian in a sheer lace gown; two things that aren’t generally greeted with a lot of positive enthusiasm around these parts. But wait! What if we told you she lined it? That would make it a bit harder to trash, would it not? Aren’t we all always whining about the need for more linings on the world’s red carpets? Well, don’t worry. She lined it Kim Kardashian-style, which is to say terribly.

That’s the thing about a lot of these sheer gowns. A lining in anything other than black is almost always a huge mistake. If this was supposed to be a way to promote her Skims line, we can’t say it looks like a good idea.
