… in this instance, we’ll give it a try. She remains dazzling and there’s a certain whimsical confection sort of feel to the look, but we don’t love how the dress looks like it’s in the middle of a molting period. And while we’re at it, the train looks more like a coat that got stuck on the back of the dress. There’s a certain gorgeous drama to the whole look, but it tends to trigger our anti-feather stance. It’s time to retire this drag-inspired trend. There. See? We can be bitches even when we’re dazzled.
