We’ve decided the M stands for Mountbatten-Windsor. It’s the new team uniform. Even if everything she does outside her home is on some level a public appearance, we can’t bring ourselves to get too bitchily critical about the look. It’s simply, easy to wear, and extremely photogenic. It’s allowing her to put on a royal gun show while still maintaining a royal sense of decorum and restraint. We don’t love the design, to be honest. And we think the waist seam screams for a belt. We also think the shoes are an odd choice both for the dress and for the setting. Little bejeweled slingbacks are the opposite of sporty.
