Supergirl star Milly Alcock came to CCXP Mexico and we’re happy to report that she did not engage in any theme-dressing for the occasion.

Granted, it’s Comic Con, which means she would have wound up blending in rather than standing out if she’d opted to do any theme-dressing. With this crowd, it’s best to let them have the cape and the boots. As for the decidedly non-Super ensemble she chose…

We’re intrigued. Say more, Milly Alcock. It’s kind of refreshing to see the star of a big, splashy, universally recognizable IP come out of the gate in a stylish look that isn’t trying to wink at the audience. In other words, we presume that she chose to wear this because she liked it and felt she looked good in it (the essence of style) rather than because it matched the film’s corporate branding. We love the shape, style and color story of the look, but we have to admit that we don’t think the pattern-mixing works all that well and the skirt comes off a little flimsy. Still, it’s a pretty look with a slight edge to it, which seems right for her and for this promotion. Love the boots. If she wants to cosplay skirts and boots through this tour, she has our permission. But we’ve gotta say, the hair is looking pretty ragged.
