As we’ve noted before, there’s a reason celebrities – especially the more attention-seeking kind – turn to D&G so often, despite their problematic PR history. As Lorenzo muttered while putting this post together “Say what you will about those fuckers…”

Like its French cousin Haute Couture, Alta Moda can just as easily call forth insane extravagance as it does technical excellence and old world motifs. When you’ve got Jennifer Lopez in Venice attending your show, you unleash as much Alta Moda as one body can handle without collapsing under the weight of all that fabulousness. Is it too much? Is it “over the top?” Darlings, such questions have no place here. The point is that cloak is worthy of Renaissance royalty. The point is the insane details and technical excellence on display when you click through the pictures for the closeups. The point is that this is simply inarguably fabulous.
