Michele Pfeiffer at the Gotham TV Awards in Chanel: IN or OUT?

We probably shouldn’t start this post off by telling you that Michelle Pfeiffer, upon receiving her Legend Tribute at the Gotham TV Awards, said it felt like being home in Gotham City and then licked the trophy because now you’re so starry-eyed that we can’t trust you to be as judgmental as you should be regarding her dress. But we’re gonna put it up to a vote anyway, just to test your resolve.

As for us, we don’t hate it, but like her dress at the FYC event yesterday, we don’t think the style really feels like her. She’s always been more of Saint Laurent girlie than a Chanel girlie and while this is relatively unfussy by Chanel standards, it seems too fussy for her. From a design perspective, we don’t love where that underskirt begins. Bring that up around her hips and it won’t look so awkward to our eyes. The styling is fine, but those boots make no sense at all. Pretty much the only thing that would work her is a pair of white pumps. But that’s us. As we said, the final call is up to y’all.
