When you’re talking matters of fashion, you pretty much have to resort to shorthanding certain styles, which tend to be less about describing the real world and more about placing an outfit or set of style choices within a framework. So when we say Brett Goldstein is dressed for the office, we have to acknowledge that most people in offices don’t actually dress in full suits anymore. Hell, a significant chunk of people who have office jobs don’t even go into offices. But just as it’s useful to say that a certain style reminds one of librarians or kindergarten teachers, it’s also a good idea to acknowledge that almost no one in those professions actually dresses in cute little sweater sets with peter pan collars or whatever. Anyway, here he is, looking like the hottest lead in a ’90s legal drama. The grooming is spectacular.
